Sueños Compartidos (Shared Dreams)
reflecting on these shared experiences of transformative transitions. I have never not been a master at separating. Rebirth- from the final end of a thread. My hopelessness from my dreams stretching out. There lies so much hope even in sentences I don’t speak out loud. Eternity spent on waiting. I let my grief overwhelm my love. I can pray to all the gods I know. I will always come back home——thankful to be able to reflect back at this vulnerable and beautiful experience. painting with the love and support of @1inamelyion@garagecultural@commongroundscoop , @jkooiman, and all the wonderful families in Traverse City that opened their hearts and homes to me.

sueños compartidos (shared dreams) is a depiction of the relationship that exist those who work the land and the dreams they carry with them for their families through their labor, migration, and love.
Highlighting the experience of predominantly female Latin American farm workers in Northern Michigan Traverse City Area that were shared with me through a collaboration with @commongroundscoop, JPAC, & @garagecultural . With the intent of amplifying a broader understanding of how their efforts not only positively affects the lives of their families, but of communities at large through their harvest they tirelessly cultivate for others to enjoy.
